CVIR Endovascular is an open access journal and is obliged to follow the international ethical codes for publication. There is a misunderstanding that for case reports consent for publication is not needed. If your manuscript contains any individual person’s data in any form (including individual details, images or videos), consent to publish must be obtained from that person, or in the case of children, their parent or legal guardian. ONLY if your manuscript does not contain data from any individual person, please state “not applicable” in this section.

You do not have to send the consent during submission, you should only state that consent is obtained in the section. If the case report was approved by the institutional review board the approval number should be mentioned also in the manuscript under ethics approval and consent to participate.

We may request to see a copy at any stage (including after publication). See our editorial policies for each article type for more information on consent for publication.
